The UAE’s tax-free lifestyle and various employment opportunities have brought a massive influx of multinational workforce and visitors to the country. Accordingly, people who do not plan to put down roots in the UAE may find renting a home a practical solution. And according to reports, apartments are the most preferred choice among tenants for a number of reasons.
Save – Compared to villas, apartments come out as a much more affordable rental option, and tenants are presented with a wide range of homes to choose from. As apartments are generally smaller, utility fees are cheaper, too. There are also no additional expenditures required to maintain a garden or a swimming pool.
Accessibility – Most apartment complexes have convenience stores on the ground floor, and are near urban amenities and facilities. Being located near modern transportation networks like the Metro, tram and public buses makes it is easy for residents to move around, allowing them to visit retail and entertainment hubs, schools, restaurants, business centers and hospitals in a matter of minutes.
Security – Safety is always a priority. Most apartment buildings in the country are under the care of a property management company. These are equipped with fire alarm systems and CCTV cameras and have a security officer who keeps an eye on the flow of people, assuring residents of safety, comfort and peace of mind.
Amenities – A majority of apartment buildings include great facilities such as a fitness center, a swimming pool and a venue for parties. Semi-furnished units are also provided with appliances like refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and washers/dryers at no extra costs. Though gated villa communities also have these features and more, apartments continue to attract tenants for their lower rental rates.
Relax – Apartments entail lesser responsibilities and headaches. A small living space means less cleaning and DIY repairs and no gardening involved. Occupants are thus given more freedom to enjoy weekend staycations.
