Cayan Group has launched new hotel apartment and commercial tower projects worth Dh3.1 billion in Dubai and Riyadh. The real estate investment group said one of the projects will be Cayan Cantara, which it described as an “iconic development” located along the Umm Suqeim Road in Dubai.

Comprising a branded residences tower and a hotel apartment tower, Cayan Cantara will be developed in association with UAE-based financial investment company Shuaa Capital. The developer also launched Samaya, a one million- sq-m master plan in Riyadh, and CM1, a luxury commercial building along King Fahd Road in Riyadh.

“We are extremely pleased to launch our upcoming projects, Cayan Cantara in Dubai and CM1 and Samaya in Riyadh, and look forward to strengthening our partnerships with Shuaa Capital,” said Ahmed Al Hatti, President and Chairman of Cayan Group. “With the development of world-class residential and commercial projects in the Middle East, we aim to reaffirm our commitment to providing our clients with superlative office and housing options in preferred strategic locations in the two cities.”

Cayan Cantara will include retail shops, restaurants, a spa, hanging glasswalled swimming pool, fitness centre, outdoor screen and conference hall.

Coinciding with the launch was the recordbreaking feat carried out by French climber Alain Robert, popularly known as Spiderman, who scaled the twisted Cayan Tower, which has been recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest twisted tower.

“I am thrilled that I managed to complete this climb,” said Robert. “As the building design was different, ascending was more challenging, but nothing pleases me more than completing a challenge like the Cayan Tower.”
