Diamond Developers has announced that the first set of tenants at The Sustainable City have now moved into their homes.
''Diamond Developers is thrilled to have turned the vision of sustainable living in Dubai into a reality with its first set of tenants making their home in The Sustainable City,'' said Faris Saeed, CEO of Diamond Developers. ''The successful opening of the city to residents has set a new benchmark for other developers to follow.''
According to the developer, several families have made their home at The Sustainable City, with each household benefitting from the home grown produce in the farm and will receive fresh herbs from the two operational biodome greenhouses on regular basis. In April, a community mall will be completed and all 11 biodomes will be up and running.
The homes are located in phase one of the development, which comprises a five-cluster residential complex, with each cluster featuring pedestrianised streets, a communal area, five playgrounds, a central wind tower and solar-shaded parking lots. Phase one also includes an equestrian center and cycling and jogging tracks.
