Dh3m for Family Village
The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai has received a Dh3-million donation from Emirati businessman Salem Ahmed Almoosa for the Family Village project, the first facility for the care of orphans and underprivileged children in Dubai.

Marina 101 is 80% complete
Sheffield Holdings has announced that it has completed around 80 per cent of construction work on Marina 101, the tallest tower in Dubai Marina and the second-tallest in the UAE at 425m. The developer said it expects to commence handover of the tower’s hotel early next year, followed by the delivery of hotel apartments and residential units. On completion, the tower will have 420 hotel rooms and hotel apartments, 60 three-bedroom residential units and eight duplexes.

Fire, smoke-proof doors launched

The multipurpose sliding doors are ideal for high-personnel sites that require protection and a safe exit route in case of emergency.

Touchless toilet flush
Kohler has launched a new product in the Middle East that allows toilets to flush without touching. The new technology is available in the Kohler Cimarron toilet as well as a retrofit kit that will work with almost any single-flush toilet with a canister or flapper-type flush.
