The first set of villas in the dar wasl development on Al Wasl Road are now open for lease. The 20 four-bedroom units form part of the Dh500-million Moroccan architecture-inspired development located close to Safa Park. A villa can be leased for Dh250,000 a year, said wasl properties, the developer.
“Dar wasl represents a new high-end lifestyle concept that blends the charm of Andalusian heritage with the highest quality modern amenities,” said Zainab Mohamed, CEO of Property Management and Marketing at wasl properties. “It has been designed to celebrate the authenticity of Dubai through the best facilities and services.”
Spread over a total area of 60,000 sq ft, dar wasl will comprise 166 four- and five-bedroom villas — each with a maid’s room and some with a swimming pool — and 112 two- and three-bedroom apartments, with the three-bedroom units also including a maid’s room.
The 20 four-bedroom units launched are available to tenants exclusively through the wasl Customer Service Centre. The entire development is expected to be completed by December.
Dar wasl is close to schools, hospitals, supermarkets and leisure centres in the neighbourhood. It also has 108 commercial units, from 214-1,056 sq ft. Of these, 87 will be dedicated to retail, while 21 will be allocated to restaurants and cafés. The retail centre is expected to fully open in March.
“We had a number of important considerations when planning dar wasl, including ensuring that we added to the aesthetic value of the area by incorporating unique geometric [elements],” Zainab said.
“This was balanced by our commitment to provide multiple options for those wishing to live in the district and creating opportunities for the city’s business sector with premium retail space.”
Among the other facilities at dar wasl designed to maximise comfort and convenience are dedicated parking in its basement floor, a health club, swimming pool, gym and children’s playground. The gated community has 24-hour security.
