Yas Island in Abu Dhabi has established itself as the ultimate entertainment destination in the capital complete with a Ferrari theme park, a Formula 1 racing circuit, a waterpark, a golf course, a huge mall and a number of hotels.
Perhaps to fill up the massive space, but primarily to provide visitors a holiday home and residents a permanent address, residential developments have begun sprouting in the vicinity.
One of the latest residential projects to be launched in the area is Mayan which will be nestled along the beach and near the Yas Links golf course. Mayan will be dotted with apartment buildings consisting of studio to four-bedroom units, and waterfront villas. The homes will boast contemporary design and the developer has assured future occupants that they will get to enjoy stunning vistas of the Abu Dhabi skyline, the verdant golf greens and the lush mangroves right at the comfort of their own living space.
The apartments and villas will be complemented with modern conveniences which include gyms, infinity pools, saunas, steam rooms, private parking and concierge service.
The residences, which are considered on the luxury side, began selling last month on off-plan basis at prices that start at Dh800,000 for studio units. They are designed for both UAE nationals and expatriates. Construction is expected to commence in 2016, while the handover of units is scheduled in 2018.
Choosing Mayan, which is located right smack in the middle of everything, will prove very advantageous to future homeowners. Aside from the retail, leisure, hospitality and dining offerings on Yas Island, Saadiyat Island is just a few minutes’ drive away. Saadiyat is home to world-class museums and art venues, a beach and a golf course, and offers plenty of recreational activities for everyone.
Moreover, Mayan residents will also have easy access to the different parts of the capital, with the city centre just 30 minutes away, the airport a 10-minute drive and Dubai reachable in less than an hour.
With three residential projects being constructed in the area, expect Yas Island to be Abu Dhabi’s next top residential destination in the years to come.
• Mayan homes are currently sold on off-plan basis starting at Dh800,000
• All residences will provide residents with amazing views of the surroundings
• Owners have the advantage of being close to world-class leisure destinations
