During the Cityscape Global 2014, a Dubai-based real estate developer launched the opulent La Mer Project. It is a mixed-use development that will take shape in Dubai’s beachfront district of Jumeirah and aims at showcasing various pristine multi-purpose retail and F&B concepts.
Boasting of a subtle but contemporary design, La Mer’s undefiled location provides beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf along with Dubai’s stunning skyline. It is divided into four zones: the beach, a leisure and entertainment hub, North Island and South Island.
The project would be a creative amalgamation of world-class living with state-of-the-art facilities and distinguishing shopping and leisure attractions. Integrated within the community is an array of amenities for entertainment and recreational activities that can be enjoyed, as the project launches a range of business and dining concepts.
La Mer, along with its distinct components, will encompass an area of 9.5 million square feet of existing and reclaimed land. As among the very first beachfront developments initiated, it combines a master-planned residential community with a diverse array of waterfront dining, hospitality and relaxation options, marking another milestone in the developer’s growth in the region.
On the North and South Islands respectively, La Mer project is set to house a total of 688 apartments and villas, along with 160 well-designed hotel rooms, equipped with facilities catering to the requirements of several tourists visiting Dubai.
In its central location, in the vicinity of Pearl Jumeirah Island, is its leisure and entertainment hub which is the core value of the project. This will eventually include two marinas for yachts and a park. Once established, while focusing on the beach, watersports, play and restaurant options, this is going to be a quintessential destination to unwind. The development of skateboarding parks and fitness facilities proves this island to be an ideal location for several youth activities and sports programs for kids.
With their existing development plans and more underway, La Mer is definitely one of the projects which will positively contribute to Dubai’s economy as it embodies UAE’s global standards of sustainability and quality.
