Al Bustan Centre and Residence recently hosted a group of Russian tour operators to showcase Dubai's top attractions and to present the new features and upgraded amenities of the property. The visitors from the cities of Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia were invited as part of efforts to enhance the knowledge and experience of tour operators and travel agents from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) about Dubai.
"CIS is one of the important feeder markets and this is reflected in the increased number of tourists coming to Dubai every year," said Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer of Al-Bustan Centre and Residence. "The Russian market plays an important role in the growth and expansion of the tourism industry in Dubai."
"We have a long association with tour operators and travel agents from the CIS, who recognise the value of our business and have shown a desire to win greater market share. With the enhanced amenities and services, we hope to get more traffic from those states."
According to the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment, Russian tourists are among the top spenders in the emirate, splurging around Dh5 billion per year. Russia also ranks second after the UK among European tourists who spend the most above the cost of their trips.
The visitors were also toured around the hotel's facilities, including its business centre, meeting rooms, food court, health club, swimming pool, tennis courts and travel desk sections.
