Hidd Al Saadiyat, an exclusive beachfront community in Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island, is on track to deliver homes by year end, according to the Saadiyat Development and Investment Company. The company said work on main roads, light poles and electrical cables have been completed, while electrical substations and lifting stations are ready and scheduled to be tested and commissioned.
The project, which is being managed by Lead Development, started construction in January 2013. It will have 461 villas, which will each have beach access.
Hidd Al Saadiyat will also feature nearly 1.5 million sq m of natural beachfront and 7km of waterfront in Saadiyat Island, which is dubbed Abu Dhabi's cultural district.
''We are proud to announce that Hidd Al Saadiyat's key infrastructure work is nearly finished,'' said Greg Slingerland, Project Director.
The project's main roads have all been paved allowing vehicular and foot traffic at the development.
Furthermore, work on the footpaths and villa driveways will commence in the coming months.
The developer also said that all the underground services, including water, sewerage and electrical cables, have been installed.
Hidd Al Saadiyat will be surrounded by hotels, resorts and museums, offering a perfect blend of community living, the developer said.
