Emaar Properties has presented its flagship project, the 500-acre Downtown Dubai mega development, at this year’s edition of the Mipim international real estate fair, which was held last week in Cannes, France. The presentation focused on Emaar’s advanced project development competencies, while presenting new projects in key international markets.

The different lifestyle components of Downtown Dubai were showcased at the event, including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall and The Dubai Fountain.

Emaar also presented The Opera District, located centrally in Downtown Dubai, which will feature the Dubai Opera, a 2,000-seat multipurpose performing arts centre inspired by the city’s maritime history.

Emaar underlined the strong economic impact of Downtown Dubai on the growth of the city’s retail, tourism and hospitality sectors. The Dubai Mall, one of the key components of Downtown Dubai, received more than 75 million visitors last year, making it the world’s most visited shopping and entertainment destination.

The investment proposition within Downtown Dubai’s new residential developments, including luxury serviced residences, was also highlighted.

Among the new project launches in Downtown Dubai that have gained strong international investor interest include The Address Residence Sky View The Address Residence Fountain Views I, II and III, Vida Residence Downtown Dubai, Burj Vista and Boulevard Point.

Emaar also presented its international project portfolio, including Emaar Square in Istanbul, which will comprise more than 1,000 luxury homes, a 180-room five-star hotel, high and low-rise residences and one of the largest shopping malls in Turkey.

Robert Booth, CEO of Emaar Dubai Real Estate, said: “Emaar’s showcase at Mipim highlights our credentials as a global developer of iconic properties that transform the economies we operate in.
