Dubai’s second-tallest tower to rise in Business Bay

RP Global recently broke ground on RP Heights, its first project in Dubai, and announced plans for RP One, the emirate’s second-tallest tower. The two projects will have a total development value of more than Dh5.5 billion.

RP Heights in Downtown Dubai will feature 268 luxury residences in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, along with penthouses on the upper floors. It’s valued at Dh1.5 billion. RP Global will launch RP One later this year. The project will cost Dh4 billion and be located behind the Business Bay Metro station. But the firm did not disclose the building’s height. Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest tower in the world at 828m. Princess Tower is the second-tallest in Dubai and the world’s tallest residential building at 414m.

The group is optimistic about the business potential of Dubai, said Dr Ravi Pillai, Chairman and CEO of RP Group of Companies. “With its population of more than two million expected to grow to three million by 2020, and the city’s status as a  business and leisure hub, the property sector of Dubai has strong growth prospects.”
