Developer seeks to ‘redefine’ affordable housing

Delta International Real Estate has launched a new campaign that it said seeks to underline a push to redefine affordable housing. The Size Matters campaign for Tanmiyat Global’s 14.4-million-sq-ft- Living Legends development emphasis on spacious communities that offer value for money, according to the realty firm.

The company said only 33 per cent of the project’s plot was built to offer a limited number of luxury properties, while residents will be able to enjoy large green spaces and facilities, including the nine-hole Legends Golf Course.

“Affordability should be measured based on value for money and should not mean that projects have to com-promise on the residents’ personal space,” said Saleh Tabakh, CEO of Delta International Real Estate. “An affordable community has to be commercially sustainable with the ability to bring good return on investment and that is what we are promising with Size Matters.”

Living Legends offers two- and three-bedroom apartments for Dh855 per square foot, alongside a flexible payment plan of 30-70 per cent. The company also claims the independent villas are more affordable than comparable projects on a payment plan of 25-75 per cent, which is offered through a partnership with Amlak Finance.

Living Legends will comprise 500 villas and 12 apartment towers, along with a community club house, shopping mall, boutique hotel, schools, clinics, and a golf course.
