The Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) is one of the business destination options for investors wishing to set up business in the country at a lesser cost. Businesses may establish themselves at SAIF Zone as a free zone company (FZC), a branch office or a free zone establishment (FZE).
SAIF Zone has a wide range of state-of-the-art business solutions for companies in the fields of light manufacturing, consumer durables, medium manufacturing, media and IT services. These include fully furnished executive offices that cover utility fees and parking space, pre-built warehouses with offices that range in size from 22 square metres to 150 square metres and storage areas starting from 103 square metres to 450 square metres, plots of land, temporary warehouses, parking areas for containers and bunkers. The SAIF Industrial Park offers plots of land, while the SAIF Zone labour accommodation consists of buildings that can accommodate thousands of employees. The housing district is a self-contained zone equipped with sports and recreational facilities such as basketball and volleyball courts, retail centres, dining establishments, a clinic, supermarkets and pharmacies, among other necessities.
SAIF Zone issues industrial, service and trade licences, with a services department that takes care of one’s entire setup needs – from registration to obtaining visas to legal advice. It offers businesses the huge advantage of being near the Sharjah International Airport and the emirate’s seaports, and having easy access to customers through wide land networks.
As a free zone, businesses in SAIF Zone enjoy the usual perks of 100% ownership, and exemptions from export and import duties, and taxes, among several other benefits.
