Al Thuriah Properties launched Sahara Tower 6, the final instalment in the six-tower Sahara Complex master development in Sharjah, at Cityscape Global. The company said the foundation of the two-block tower is already laid and development continues apace.
The project will have 376 residential units, distributed in two towers of 39 and 21 floors. The freehold units are available to GCC nationals and Arabs, while other nationalities can acquire property under a 100-year leasehold arrangement. The project will be handed over in December 2019.
Located along the Dubai-Sharjah border, Sahara Tower 6 features a swimming pool, gym, common garden, lounge and retail outlets and restaurants on the ground floor.
According to Raymond Khouzami, CEO of Al Thuriah, around 25 per cent of the project has been sold. Khouzami explains that under Sharjah regulations, the company is allowed to sell 10 per cent of the units to non-Arabs or around 40 units. “We already sold around 25 units to non-Arabs,” said Khouzami in an interview with PW, adding that most are from India and Pakistan.
Khouzami said investors are now looking for opportunities in Sharjah. “Investor interest in the location of the Sahara Tower 6 community is returning and we expect the next few months to be highly productive for us.”
