Traditionally, home décor has always focused on the interior of a house. If you are out of ideas, store catalogues are filled with tips and tricks on how you can enhance the look of your home – maybe a new shade of paint, quaint furniture, bright colors, picture wall with framed memories – the list is endless.
In other words, anything is possible in the world of décor these days, and the sky is the limit. If you can imagine it, you can create it. And nowadays, decorating and accessorizing extends to the house exteriors as well.
The easiest way to give a new look to your residence facade is to repaint it. As there is a plethora of paint colors available, you can experiment and choose the one that suits your personality and lifestyle, and goes with your overall house design.
Some of us are very lucky to have an outdoor space, be it a spacious balcony, a little garden area, a backyard or a front yard. Furniture is a very important part of outdoor décor. You can choose from sofas, lounge chairs and other pieces of seating that are available in different materials. You can even add shade structures such as pergolas or arbors to perk up your outdoor retreat.
Apart from furniture, there are other excellent accessories used for exterior décor. You can hang some beautiful lanterns outside in which tea lights can be lit for an Arabian-nights effect.
You can also opt for stained glass murals or windows, or use peelable stained glass stickers on the windows for a colorful, kaleidoscopic effect.
Alternatively, you can also decide on a theme and buy your accessories to complement it. A rustic effect can be achieved with terracotta pottery. If you have a stairway, you can place planters near each nook to bring some greenery into the picture. You can even introduce greenery along the driveway.
You can also create a cozy corner beneath the staircase replete with bean bags and cushions for those wintry nights.
• Hang beautiful rustic lanterns with tea lights for an Arabian-nights effect
• Create a wow-worthy facade by repainting it in a hue that suits the design
• Introduce greenery into stairways or patios, or plant flowers along the driveway
