Al Barari is an exclusive residential community that offers an unrivalled elegance in living. It is located in the heart of Nad Al Sheba, off Emirates Road, on the edge of Dubailand. On one hand, magnificent gardens characterize environment-friendly living; on the other hand, elegant villas signify an uber-luxurious lifestyle. It is a unique address meant for people who value luxury amidst natural surroundings.
To say that Al Barari is a captivating botanical delight won’t be an exaggeration. Greenery is the focal point of the locality and it is probably because of this that it is rated as one of the most beautiful and exclusive areas in Dubai. Its highlights are its winding paths, public gardens with pools, outdoor showers, bathrooms and barbecue areas. The gardens are nothing but a treat to the senses. The layout of the community is built in a way that it encourages residents to walk and cycle rather than drive.
“Al Barari” is Arabic for “wilderness.” True to its meaning, it overlooks a protected wildlife reserve and has been developed with a sharp emphasis on the environment as around 80 percent of its land is dedicated to open, green spaces.
Dedicated efforts have been taken to conserve the biodiversity of the area through the use of local species. The fact that most of the area is green is a unique phenomenon in this part of the world and consequently helped in reducing the temperature in the area. The villas have been grouped into leaf-shaped clusters to minimize the impact of the infrastructure on the land. The residences have a distinct Arabian architectural style clubbed with contemporary design, blending the indoors and the outdoors together. Spacious, with superb construction quality and high-end fittings, the homes’ high ceilings give them a palatial feel. Each villa has its own private pool and Jacuzzi, a triple-car garage and a home automation system, amongst other features.
Paresh Shah, wife Manjiri and their children, Nishit and Prisha, moved to Jasmine Leaf 4 this year from their previous residence in Garhoud. Paresh is the CEO of Brilliant Diamonds and La Marquise Diamonds.
The fact that Paresh had lived in Kerala, India for a considerable number of years prompted him to buy a property in Al Barari. “We feel as if we are still residing in the lush green locales of Kerala. Due to the dense vegetation, temperatures here are lower compared to the main city, making the place cooler and more comfortable. Al Barari epit-omizes forest living in the heart of a desert. I feel that I have gone back in time after moving here because it gives that same lovely feeling of being in Kerala.”
Though moving to Al Barari has added 15 minutes of commuting time to Paresh’s office in Gold Souk, he strongly feels that the serene atmosphere and the gorgeous surroundings are worth the stay here.
“Tranquility, lush tropical greenery and the fragrant cool air make this address elusive and surreal. Once this is connected to Al Khail Road, this will become more accessible,” Paresh says.
Although Body Language health club is within the vicinity, the Shahs seldom use it as they have a personal gym in their base-ment, making things convenient for the family.
The only downside? “The parks need to be equipped with play areas for children,” Paresh concludes.
• The Farm restaurant
• Beautiful gardens
• Safe and secure community
• High-quality maintenance
• Body Language health club
• Greenworks Nursery
• Lesser connectivity to the main city
• Lack of play areas for children
