Tecom is a relatively new yet promising residential and vibrant business community. It is a large circle dotted with residences, shops, hotels and other establishments. With towers briskly coming up, it has become an emerging hub in the Dubai realty market.
One of the major factors that has worked in favor of Tecom is its relatively cheaper rents in comparison to its neighboring areas. As a result, a large number of residents and commercial establishments have shifted to this area.
While affordable rents are a major tenant-puller to this region, another unique selling point of Tecom lies in its strategic location. Nestled between the renowned localities of Al Barsha, The Greens and Dubai Media City (DMC), it is sure to shoot to popularity quite soon.
A bridge conveniently connects Tecom to DMC. The fact that it is served by the Dubai Internet City Metro Station, which happens to be just a few minutes away, and a bus network, and is also connected to arterial roads like Shaikh Zayed Road, Emirates Road and Al Khail Road makes it easily accessible from different parts of the city. Round-the-clock taxi service also works to the advantage of residents and non-residents alike.
Convenience in lifestyle is yet another positive feature of the area. One is sure to find everything one needs within walking distance. Supermarkets, grocery shops, dry cleaners, cafes, restaurants and beauty parlors abound, making this moderately-sized community a favorite among residents.
It goes without saying that Tecom is a convenient locality from several viewpoints, yet the upcoming locality is facing a few teething problems. Footpaths are waiting to be finished as residents walk their way through sand and rubble. With very few trees around, an improved landscaping will greatly help brighten up the surroundings.
However, its relatively lower rents, and convenient and advantageous location are enough to lure an increasing number of tenants.
• Tecom is located near Al Barsha, The Greens and the Dubai Media City
• It is near the metro station and has frequent public bus and taxi service
• Conveniences include supermarkets, restaurants, grocery shops and salons
