Dubai Maritime City is a mixed-use development that caters to the maritime industry. It is the world’s first purpose-built maritime cluster that acts as a one-stop solution for everything associated with the sector.
Designed to meet every maritime need, it encompasses everything, from business to manufacturing, training and living in a maritime environment. Located between Dubai Drydocks and Port Rashid, it is a one-of-a-kind city constructed over a man-made peninsula.
Dubai Maritime City is not only an industrial area as it also houses commercial, residential and leisure facilities. Its proximity to Dubai’s major roads, expressways, waterways and the international airport makes it an ideal place for business. Spread over an area of 2.27 million square metres, it is divided into major zones including The Maritime Centre, The Marina District, Harbour Residences, the Industrial Precinct, Harbour Offices and the Academic Quarter.
At the heart of the development is The Maritime Centre which acts as an international hub for all types of maritime activity. Eight waterfront and three interior areas mark this place and will house five-star business hotels, tall residential towers and world-class offices. The Industrial Precinct, on the other hand, will deal with ship and yacht manufacturing and repair. It will also have several workshops and warehouses.
High-rise residential towers, shopping centres, restaurants and entertainment facilities will dot The Marina District and the Harbour Residences. Office towers will be constructed within the Harbour Offices zone and the Academic Quarter will have institutions teaching courses related to marine engineering, naval science and marine transportation.
Dubai has always relied on the sea for its survival and in keeping with its heritage, the Dubai Maritime City provides the perfect venue for the maritime trade to flourish.
