A lush green space in the heart of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid City (MBR City) is the kind of development that will create a city within a city catering to visitors and residents alike.
Its accessibility to Al Khail Road makes commuting to major business centers like Downtown Dubai, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai International Airport quick and easy.
The 600 hectares of planned open green space will include 14 kilometers of man-made beaches, seven kilometers of lagoons, the biggest crystal lagoon in the world, and several retail, leisure and sports attractions.
MBR City was conceptualized as a multi-use development which, according to its plan, will consist of four key aspects: commercial, tourism, retail and cultural sector development.
The retail segment will encompass the eventual development of the largest shopping mall in the world, the Mall of the World. It is a temperature-controlled indoor city that will feature retail shops, a wellness district and several other leisure options.
The arts sector will embrace a massive area dedicated to North African and Middle Eastern art galleries. A ''Cultural Crossing'' is also planned. It will connect MBR City to Dubai's already vibrant and existing areas such as Business Bay and Downtown Dubai.
The family tourism aspect will include the Middle East, Africa and Indian subcontinent's largest family entertainment venue created in partnership with Universal Studios. Capable of receiving 35 million visitors annually, the park will also include more than 100 new hotels and hospitality establishments.
And last, but not the least, is innovation and entrepreneurship, which will give opportunities for businesses to develop and innovate in this unique development.
