Located next to the upscale Jumeirah Islands and just a stone’s throw away from the popular Emirates Living community, Jumeirah Park is a welcome addition to some of the most desired villa communities in Dubai. Signature qualities of the project include spacious homes with three distinct themes to choose from, an independent community center and upcoming family-oriented amenities – all these set within a convenient location, promising residents a high standard of living.
In July 2013, expat couple Punam and Naeem Hussain saw excellent, long-term potential in this developing residential complex and decided to shift base with their 14-year-old daughter Tanya.
Having moved from an apartment in the nearby Jumeirah Lakes Towers area to a three-bedroom villa with a private pool in the community, the family is full of praise for their new home. “I personally feel it is the best community in Dubai on several counts – location, access, plot sizes and the overall finishing of the homes,” says Punam.
Strategically located in the epicenter of New Dubai, Jumeirah Park is well-connected to the main arteries of Dubai, namely Shaikh Zayed, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Al Khail Roads. The villas are elegant besides being equipped with individual balconies and back gardens. Each unit is well-spaced out with room for extension to accommodate the ever-changing needs of families residing in them.
“When we moved here initially, the superior connectivity of the area was a major attraction. The drive to our office in Oasis Centre is all of 15 minutes. Furthermore, my daughter studies in Dubai British School which is just around the corner. Entertainment hotspots such as the beach in JBR, Marina Walk and The Palm as well as shopping malls like Ibn Battuta and Mall of the Emirates are easily accessible. In a little over a year, the area has witnessed considerable development,” Punam says.
She adds, “Newly-built children’s parks have opened up, adding to the community feel. The developer has planned additional play areas for kids besides cycling/jogging tracks and sporting facilities such as tennis, basketball and football courts. The construction of a new Taleem school is underway. And not to forget, the community center, which has a supermarket, pharmacy, laundry, salon, restaurants and coffee shops, adds to the convenience factor.”
She further narrates, “There are other smaller aspects that contribute to the livability of this place. The roads are wide and well-lit unlike most other villa complexes in Dubai. There is a healthy mix of nationalities residing here, and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. Since the homes are relatively new, I do not foresee any significant maintenance issues for a long time to come. All in all, living here is good value-for-money; hence, I have recommended this project to several of my friends and acquaintances.”
However, just like other new residential areas in Dubai which are fraught with their own set of problems, Jumeirah Park is no exception.
Punam says, “Currently, there is no signage in the area; hence, locating a villa can be difficult especially in times of emergencies. Since the community is not gated yet, security is another concern. While measures are being taken to address these issues, there is adequate security patrolling in the area in the meantime to avoid mishaps whatsoever.”
On an optimistic note, she concludes, “Teething issues aside, I would still like to maintain that this is a fantastic place to live in.”
