Jumeirah Village Triangle - Calm living in an oasis with a village feel

Jumeirah Village is a major development located off Shaikh Mohammad bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. It has more than 6,000 spaciously constructed villas and townhouses spread between two components, the Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and the Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT).

JVT mainly consists of two-bedroom villas, and one and two-bedroom townhouses. The independent villas are characterised by very large plot sizes while the two-bedroom townhouses have very large and usable built-up areas, making them popular with tenants and property owners alike.

The community enjoys access to a back road leading to The Springs, The Meadows and Jumeirah Park. A development that is set amidst serenity and designed to render a holistic living experience, it also lies adjacent to Jumeirah Islands, Palm Jumeirah and Jebel Ali.

JVT provides a luxurious answer to people who opt for a lifestyle that gives them complete peace of mind.

Mostyn Rischmueller, a music producer and DJ, and Christina Choie, a freelance stylist, moved to JVT three years back from their earlier residences in The Springs and The Meadows.

Christina says the primary reason why they shifted to JVT was that their occupations required more space. They found that the JVT villas offered more space and value for money although, she says, the prices in the area have increased of late.

However, according to Christina, they are happy with their current home. “The spaciousness of the villa is a big bonus given that we often both work from home and love to entertain. The additional room has made for a more comfortable living space and the outside area is great for entertaining. We have more storage and have been able to accommodate a table tennis table.”

She adds, “We have a couple of friends who live here within just a walking distance, so the place really lends a warm community feel.”

Explaining her comfort factor, she says, “The neighbourhood is safe and quiet, and amenities like parks (with basketball/tennis courts) and supermarkets offering home delivery are located close by. It is also close to Al Khail Road which allows us easy access to the different parts of the city for our respective work.”

Some of the reputed shopping malls close to JVT are Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina Mall and Ibn Battuta Mall.

The locality is also close to reputed schools like Dubai British School, GEMS World Academy, Dubai International Academy and Emirates International School in The Meadows.

Medical centres like Life Medical Center and Welcare Ambulatory Care Centre are also in close access.

Although the combination of beautiful homes and a host of facilities undoubtedly make for comfortable living, there is still a lot that needs to be done to make the community more convenient and comfortable for its residents, says Christina.

“The lack of dedicated street signs is one of the biggest bugbears faced by residents and visitors. Also, JVT is supposed to be a gated community. Although it is safe here, security needs to be boosted. The area is still in its fledgling stage so there is a lot of roadwork that needs to be completed,” she concludes.
