Jumeirah Village is a family-friendly development located in the heart of New Dubai. It comprises villas and townhouses located in its two mixed-use communities, the Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT).
As the name suggests, JVC is a circular project flanked by Al Khail Road, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Hessa Street. Dubai Sports City and Dubai MotorCity are situated on one side and the upscale Emirates Hills on the other side.
A beautiful development designed to create a sense of community, JVC consists of more than 2,000 spacious villas and townhouses, and a wide assortment of services and amenities like sports fields, schools, mosques and parks.
The pleasant residential area is based on a distinctive architecture, signifying in particular the Arabic and Mediterranean styles and themes in a tranquil village setting.
Its beautiful walkways and transportation system facilitate increased mobility, both for its residents and visitors.
The community is designed in a symmetrical manner through a radial pattern, with streets ending at a central community centre.
The homes in JVC offer privacy yet provide a convenient access to the public areas. Each villa has generous space which the homeowners are free to use in their own innovative ways.
There are a host of conveniences in and around JVC. Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina Mall and Dubai Pearl Mall are located in close access for the shopping needs of residents while a number of reputed schools, including GEMS World Academy, Dubai International Academy, Dubai British School, American School of Dubai and Regent International School, lie in proximity.
There is no dearth of health facilities either as the Welcare Ambulatory Care Centre and Life Medical Center JLT are located nearby.
Anna De Negri, a fashion designer and owner of Fannie Boutique in J3 Mall, Al Wasl Road, has been residing in JVC for more than a year now. In her words, “JVC is a village-style community that is a joy to come home to. It offers a calm and secure living, and I absolutely love being a part of this neighbourhood.”
Anna resides in a one-bedroom townhouse which was quite reasonably priced when she moved in.
“This townhouse is just perfect for my style of living, the highlights of which are its spacious living room and a 60-square-foot garden which I have landscaped beautifully.”
JVC is an upcoming and progressive locality and Anna strongly supports this opinion.
She says, “The area is developing at a rapid pace. When I moved in a year back, the area was quite deserted. But now, almost all the houses have been occupied. It is nice to see the community developing briskly. Roads and roundabouts have replaced the dirt roads, the area is being landscaped and parks are coming up.”
Anna finds it convenient to reach her boutique through Al Khail Road in a matter of 15 minutes.
In the absence of an entrance from Hessa Street, however, the return journey takes her an added 15 minutes which makes her return commute to around 30 minutes. Anna hopes that a road from Hessa Street will come up soon, which will drastically reduce her commuting time from Al Wasl Road.
However, she is happy to call JVC home.
