The population of the Middle East is no stranger to the elements in the composition of a date palm – a trunk, multiple fronds and that delicious fruit. The Palm Jumeirah is a relatively new and hybrid variety of the palm tree, borne out of some serious feasibility studies conducted by its developer. Consisting of a trunk over two kilometers long and a total of 17 fronds, the developer also built a breakwater in the form of a crescent that encompasses the project on reclaimed land.
With Dubai's status as being a record breaker in most, if not every field it ventures into, it is no surprise that Palm Jumeirah's land reclamation effort was, at that time, the largest of its kind in the world.
Situated on a man-made island, the Palm Jumeirah mixed-use development extends into the Arabian Gulf. The first residents of the luxurious community moved in more than seven years ago and they enjoy fine dining options, a café culture and a multitude of leisure options, which include Aquaventure located in the middle of the crescent. It is a water park fit for its location at the world's self-proclaimed ''eighth wonder.''
Palm Jumeirah is home to different communities that all enjoy private pool access. Marina Residence is perhaps the most exclusive address within an exclusive address, being located at the tip of the Palm. It consists of two and three-bedroom apartments. The Golden Mile, located on the western fronds, has one to three-bedroom apartments and penthouses with three and five bedrooms as well. Other communities located on The Palm's fronds include Oceana, Shoreline Apartments, Palm Tiara Residence, The Residences Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jumeirah Villas.
Amenities include gymnasiums, children's clubs, restaurants, pools, smart home technology, concierge desk, home entertainment system, beachfront clubhouse access, round-the-clock security, a running track by the waterside and gardens. All residents enjoy resort-style living with shopping districts like the Dubai Marina Mall and the Jumeirah Beach Residence promenade close at hand.
