The days of Business Bay being addressed as Downtown Dubai’s poor cousin are over. Today, it is firmly rooted in the Dubai freehold market as a superb alternative for people looking to stay close to Downtown Dubai without paying high premiums.
Another good news is that, with the return of construction activity in the area, there are new schemes which can easily outrival those in its upscale Burj Khalifa neighborhood.
A city within a city, Business Bay offers a sophisticated and fulfilling community way of life to its residents. With a slew of major commercial and residential developments, the area looks forward to being transformed into a sought-after mixed-use community.
The Dubai Canal, which is slated to be a major tourist attraction, is bound to change the face of this lo-cality, with several hotels, restaurants, shopping venues, luxury residences and cycling paths along it.
Brothers Saurabh N. Shah and Rushabh N. Shah, both Managing Directors at Pneumics Automation FZC, moved to Business Bay in June 2011. Saurabh’s wife Kinjal works as Creative Director at Sphinx Creative Communication, while Rushabh’s wife Megha is an IT Consultant at HTP Global Tech.
The Shahs’ move to Executive Towers, Tower E in Business Bay brought about a stupendous change in their lifestyle as Executive Towers is a freehold residential complex equipped with a variety of lifestyle amenities like gymnasiums, swimming pools, gardens, jogging tracks, among others. Brimming with lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets, conveniences of day-to-day life, the Shahs find the place quite comfortable as their earlier residence in Sharjah was a standalone building without such facilities.
Kinjal explains how the family’s lifestyle has changed for the better in a myriad of ways, “Staying in Business Bay translates into an advantageous centralized location with easy proximity to the elite neighborhood of Downtown Dubai which, owing to the presence of The Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, is the hub for shopping, eating out and entertainment. Central location also means that commuting to and from work is rather easy. Moreover, Safa Park is quite close which enables us to balance our life with good outdoor exercises and fitness activities. Jumeirah Beach is another open space near Business Bay; hence, the opportunities to have fresh, unpolluted air are plenty.”
Explaining further, Kinjal says, “The Business Bay Metro Station in the vicinity makes for easy connec-tivity to different parts of the city. Not only is it extremely convenient to get on and off Al Khail Road, we are also able to beat the traffic every day since we travel in the opposite direction to Sharjah when most people travel from Sharjah to Dubai. Dubai Airport, which is at a proximity of 25 minutes, is also very convenient as we travel a lot for business. Considering the location, the Metro and the self-sufficient residences, we decided that Business Bay would be an ideal place for us to stay. Business Bay is now the new center of Dubai, so moving around to any part of the city does not take more than 30 minutes.”
"Overall, we are quite happy to be residing in Business Bay. Green and peaceful, with friendly neighbors belonging to different ethnicities... it is surely one of the best emerging communities in Dubai,” reckons Kinjal.
