One of the freehold developments in Abu Dhabi is gaining momentum as an increasing number of expatriates have started owning properties within it.
Al Raha Beach is a residential and commercial development that boasts a natural beachfront. Strate-gically located on the beach side of the main highway leading to the center of Abu Dhabi (if you are coming from Dubai), it consists of three precincts so far, each with its own appeal.
Bharat Gupta, an engineer working in the oil and gas sector in the capital, wife Manisha and their two children moved into a three-bedroom apartment in Al Muneera at the Al Raha Beach development around two years ago.
Al Muneera, one of the development’s master planned communities, features a neighborhood with distinctively designed apartments, villas and townhouses merged with luxury living on the waterfront overlooking a canal. It also consists of retail outlets, restaurants and a commercial office building.
Built over an island and mainland precinct, Al Muneera offers splendid views of the Arabian Gulf and Yas Island, including Ferrari World. A beautiful canal forms the focal point of the community as it splits the Al Muneera island from the mainland. Cafes and restaurants are located alongside and retail out-lets, including a beach and children’s play area, dot the well-developed locality.
Before they shifted to Al Muneera, the Guptas used to reside in the main Abu Dhabi city. “We were not very happy there because traffic was a major problem. There was no place for my children, Rinki and Aarush, to play around. Here in Al Muneera, we enjoy a fully secure and safe community-style living. There is a private beach right outside our apartment exclusive for the residents. Additionally, there are no worries of finding a parking space as all residents have an allotted parking area in a secure basement,” explains Bharat.
He adds that the accessibility of Al Muneera to various parts of the city is a major positive factor. “It is located at a five-minute drive from the airport and major tourist destinations like Ferarri World, Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Waterworld and others. It lies outside the traffic noise of the city. Hence, we enjoy a calm, pollution-free atmosphere with all facilities available at our doorstep.”
He further says that the property is just a 20-minute drive from the main Abu Dhabi city, Mussafah, and the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), and 45 minutes away from Dubai, thus making com-muting rather easy.
Enumerating the community’s positives, he says, “Al Muneera offers a resort-style lifestyle with all facilities like a swimming pool, play areas, gym, steam and sauna rooms as well as outdoor play areas for kids, jogging tracks and a private beach. Apart from this, the neighbors are very cooperative. We have many social groups for ladies and kids, and a fully furbished social room to cater to get-togethers. It never gives us a moment of boredom. My children’s schools are also situated nearby in Khalifa City A.”
In conclusion, Bharat says, “We are 100 percent satisfied with our living experience in Al Muneera. The locality is rather well-maintained. We do miss a grocery store at walking distance; however, with the undergoing construction of Carrefour Express, very soon our need for a grocery store shall also be fulfilled.”
