Al Barsha (or just Barsha to many) is a newly developed residential and commercial dwelling in the heart of Dubai. In terms of location, it has an undisputed advantage: on its north lies Al Sufouh and Palm Jumeirah; on the south, there is Dubai MotorCity and Dubai Sports City; the east is dotted with the areas of Al Quoz; on the west is the entire stretch of Emirates Living. By virtue of this, accessibility to the major highways Shaikh Zayed Road, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road is extremely easy.

Al Barsha is divided into several sub-communities, namely Al Barsha First, Second and Third as well as the recent Al Barsha South One, Two and Three. Accommodation is scattered throughout the area with a choice of apartments, villas in small gated communities and standalone villas. Yearly rents in the area range from Dh60,000 for a studio to Dh250,000 for a spacious four-bedroom apartment. For adults and children to unwind outdoors, there is the Al Barsha Pond Park with a running track along a manmade lake, exercise facilities, and a range of swings and slides. For indoor entertainment and social activities, the Mall of the Emirates (MOE), with its exclusive Ski Dubai, as well as DUCTAC (Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre) are major points of attraction.

There are several options for grocery shopping in the area. Union Co-operative is located within Al Barsha Mall itself. There is a Carrefour in MOE as well as a Lulu Hypermarket close to the mall. For medical needs, there is the sprawling Saudi German Hospital located in Al Barsha Third, besides several small clinics.

Al Barsha is served by adequate public transport in the form of buses as well as three Metro stations on the red line.
