A luxurious lifestyle with far-from-the-city feel

The UAE outskirts are getting a suburban feel, with more self-contained developments sprouting in these areas one after the other. Considering their distance from the city centre, these developments give residents an exclusive, far-from-the-city atmosphere minus the sense of being left behind by what is happening within the city itself.

One such community in Dubai is Warsan Village, just a few steps away from the popular International City. The gated residential destination is dotted with three-bedroom townhouses that boast spacious bedrooms and living rooms, a private garden, two balconies and plenty of natural light, and three-bedroom apartments with a courtyard which gives occupants the option of relishing food or entertaining visitors outdoors during the winter months.

Tree-lined streets and several pockets of green characterise Warsan Village’s entire landscape. The village provides its residents with everything they need at their doorstep. Cafes, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, parking areas, and sports and fitness facilities like gym, swimming pool and jogging track are spread out in the entire neighbourhood. A mosque, retail plaza and recreational venue are added comforts in the area.

However, homeowners in search of varied dining options can always proceed to International City, which hosts several dining establishments plus outlets that offer different services.

For shopping needs, the nearby Dragon City fills the retail gap in the area. Currently undergoing a facelift to add more retail space, the largest Chinese shopping centre outside China houses a huge number of shops that carry products ranging from accessories and clothes to electronic and household items.

Families with college-going children are lucky as the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) is just around the corner.

With plans to connect International City and DIAC to the Dubai Metro, Al Warsan residents will also soon find it easy to travel to the popular business, leisure and entertainment areas in the city. For now though, they have to contend themselves with public buses and taxis that ply the area.
