Flanked by Al Khail Road and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, the International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) is a mixed-use development that is home to thousands of residents.

It enjoys proximity to the neighbourhoods of Jumeirah Golf Estates, Jumeirah Village Triangle, Jumeirah Village Circle and Dubai Sports City where a wide range of sports facilities is located.

IMPZ is 30 kilometres away from Dubai International Airport and 25 kilometres from Jebel Ali Port.

After living in Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain for several years, Ashish and Aditi Asthana and their daughters Ananya and Shivanshi decided to move to Dubai in 2015. Ashish is a banker by profession, while Aditi is a full-time homemaker.

The family bought a home at IMPZ's Lago Vista, a three-tower development with a charming Mediterranean architectural design.

Lago Vista's apartment options consist of studio units, and one- and two-bedroom residences with unique floor plans and high-quality standard finish.

Furthermore, Lago Vista is a harmonious blend of tasteful design and comfort, offering homeowners panoramic views of the surroundings.

Aditi says the family loves the neighbourhood, saying, ''IMPZ is a calm and peaceful area without traffic jams. The community offers comfortable living in secure surroundings.''

She adds, ''It is designed to provide a lifestyle close to the city yet far enough from its noise and bustle.''

IMPZ has many high-end facilities and retail options to ensure that the residents do not have to venture far for their day-to-day needs.

Elaborating on the various facilities found in the area, Aditi explains that there is a common pool, gym and playground shared among the three towers.

There are also sports facilities such as tennis and badminton courts, barbeque areas, numerous minimarts and beauty parlours apart from a pharmacy and laundry shop.

Aditi reveals that the City Centre Me'aisem, which recently opened within the development and hosts a Carrefour supermarket and other shops, is a huge plus point for all the residents living in the area.

In addition, the area is well connected to other parts of the city through a reliable bus network. The bus service comes every 20 minutes from Mall of the Emirates. Taxis are readily available, too.

Adding further, Aditi says that there are two lakes in the community that are visible from their balcony, albeit these do not have water.

''The residents are waiting for the lakes to be filled up, which will definitely add to the beauty of the community. The areas around the lakes, however, make for suitable walking areas,'' she says.

IMPZ offers all residents a comfortable living atmosphere, no doubt.

However, Aditi points out that it is in dire need of a health centre or a hospital. ''For situations requiring medical attention, we have to look for options outside the community which proves difficult and time consuming.''

She also strongly recommends a park and for the lakes to be filled up with water as soon as possible.

''This will improve the visual appeal of the community,'' she concludes.
