Full-time homemaker Charu Kapur, entrepreneur husband Puneet and seven-year-old daughter Chahat have been happy residents of Green Community West at Dubai Investments Park (DIP) since the past five years.
A beautiful slice of suburbia, Green Community consists of villas, townhouses and apartments built to the highest standards of space and design.
The development is removed from the sights and sounds of the city. It takes pride in its cobbled streets, beautiful gardens and traffic-free atmosphere.
A self-contained community, it aims to bring residents closer to a peaceful way of living without moving too far from the main city.
Zeroing in on a property amongst a vast portfolio of freehold options was not an easy task for the Kapurs.
Charu says that they made umpteen viewings in various localities and realised that they had to compromise on some aspects or another.
“There were reeling issues related to parking, privacy, and sizes and prices of properties. After almost four to five months of search, we decided to explore Green Community though we were not in-terested in moving to this place as it was far from Puneet’s workplace,” Charu says.
She adds, “It was raining on the day of our visit. As we drove through the gate and saw the trees, fountains and birds, we were left with an indelible first impression.
“As the name suggests, the Green Community couldn’t have been any better! We decided to make this place our home and are blessed to have everything in one place – a spacious independent bungalow, a beautiful landscape, plenty of parking areas and a relatively bigger plot size.”
The Kapur family, who moved to the area from Bur Dubai, said they were happy to have found a four-bedroom villa close to the main entrance.
“Living in an independent villa with a lush and beautiful garden always featured in our choicest lifestyle list and we are happy to make this dream a reality,” Charu says.
She explains that a move to the area has ensured her family a good sense of security in a gated residential environment, adding that they are proud to be part of a multicultural society with a friendly community feel and the added bonus of frequent get-togethers.
Green Community is considered a full-fledged area as it has a supermarket, hypermarkets, schools and an NMC Hospital.
Asked about the area’s unique features, Charu says, “Bigger plot sizes and a generous mix of green spaces are the unique selling points of our locality.”
She adds, “As our villa is located next to the common area, we have a convenient access to facilities like the gymnasium and swimming pool. My daughter, a student of Springdales School, is very fond of swimming and enjoys cycling, and has made a good set of friends here.”
Though a little far from Dubai’s scintillating skyline, the area is conveniently served by Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Shaikh Zayed Road, which offer direct routes from the development to the city.
Explaining the same, Puneet says, “Travelling to my workplace in Deira works in my favour as I am going against the traffic. With well-connected roads to the area and an enhanced lifestyle, the distance factor does not matter much at all.”
