Scenic waterways and an intense green connection have attracted a rising number of families to villa community The Springs.
The community has radically matured over the past decade, giving residents a comfortable home synonymous to peace and tranquility.
The Springs is part of the Emirates Living development, which also comprises The Meadows, The Lakes and Emirates Hills.
With characteristic peaceful and leafy streets lined with villas and townhouses, it is a gorgeous area one cannot help appreciating. Fascinating lakes and parks add to the beauty of its surroundings.
Alongside its aesthetic side are amenities that add to the comfort level of the residents. The Town Centre has everything one needs, from supermarkets and cafés to nail bars and a yoga studio, while the Hayya! Club offers many fitness and leisure activities.
The Lakes Club in the nearby The Lakes has a pool, gym, convenience store, gourmet restaurants, an aerobics studio, a daycare centre, and volleyball, squash and tennis courts.
Dr. Yasir Khan, wife Nishat and their two super adorable daughters, six-year-old Dania and one-year-old Haniya are happy residents of The Springs. Having moved from the UK three years ago, the family landed straight into this beautiful community.
“The Springs offers a lovely and peaceful atmosphere especially for families with kids. The security gates with proper checks and regulations keep the area safe. The children’s play area is well-guarded, too,” says Nishat.
She adds that the gated community offers families like them peace of mind especially when she is oftentimes left at home with her daughters while her husband travels.
Asked what they like most about The Springs, Nishat says, “The pool and park are the highlights of the community. The pool serves as a key meeting point for families and kids, while the park allows children to run around on evenings and weekends.”
Residents make the most of The Springs’ outdoor facilities especially during the winter months. The barbecue areas and the areas by the lake are their favourite haunts.
“We enjoy leisurely walks in the area near the well-maintained lake. Yasir runs daily along the stretch of the lake where he finds other fitness-conscious fellows busy with their workouts,” says Nishat.
The full-time mom reveals that their home enjoys easy access to the Town Centre. “It is a great place for quick shopping, coffee mornings and get-togethers.”
The development has schools and nurseries; however, daughter Dania studies in a school in Al Barsha, which is just about a 15-minute drive from home. After-school activity centres for children are also found in The Springs.
According to Nishat, the family loves spending time in their lovely garden which opens to the park and pool. “It gives my daughters the space to enjoy their childhood spree. It is also a perfect venue to share quality time with family and friends.”
She concludes, “The tall trees, lush grassy areas and the sweet chirping of the birds feel heavenly. Peaceful streets lined with houses nestled next to beautiful parks and lakes have a charm of their own.We are quite happy here. There’s nothing that we can complain. It suits us from all aspects.”
