The pastel-hued buildings that frame the Discovery Gardens development are reminiscent of beautiful European homes.
These mid-rise structures mottled in pink, ochre, yellow and terracotta tones offer residents an escape from the condensed residential towers in the Dubai heartland. These serve as an eye candy and surely a mood-inducing stimulus.
With its cardinal position in the midst of major economic, business and free zones like Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Discovery Gardens is a much-desired choice for families and young professionals working in these economic hubs. It has proven its mettle as an affordable housing community in the last decade or so.
The development comprises six themed communities: Zen, Mediterranean, Contemporary, Mogul, Mesoamerican & Cactus, each based on a unique element of nature.
Here, life is all about balance and harmony, living in close tandem with nature. Thus, magnificent gardens and open spaces are the hallmark of this area.
Spanning a spectacular 26-million-square-foot space, Discovery Gardens is an enchanting residential community designed with garden living in mind, says Navin Goyal, a resident of four years.
Navin, a Logistics Manager with Sharaf Group, and wife Shradha Singhania, an Events Coordinator at White Angel Events, reside on Street 10.
The couple says they chose Discovery Gardens primarily because of its close access to JAFZA, where Navin’s office is located.
“The other reason was that the area is purely residential and it is serene yet equipped with all the amenities required for comfortable living,” Navin adds.
Shradha says she is in love with the wide open spaces that provide enough opportunities for her one-and-a-half-year-old son Rudransh to play around. “There are play areas, gardens and a swimming pool that offer ample opportunities for mobility and exercise,” she says.
Shradha narrates that a host of conveniences is part and parcel of the community. Ranging from nurseries, schools, mall, supermarkets, medical centre to metro and bus connectivity, there is hardly anything that is missing in the area. A variety of dining options and fine retail shops also make the community self-sufficient.
She goes on to add that although the community is not centrally located, it enjoys a strategic placement in the neighbourhood of Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Al Furjan, Dubai Marina and The Gardens.
Shradha also reckons that the area’s positives are not restricted to its amenities alone. She says living in Discovery Gardens is like staying in the lap of nature.
“It is nice to just sit in the balcony, and enjoy the breeze and the awesome views of the lush green gardens and the sweet chirping of birds. The fresh air really kickstarts my day,” she says.
According to Shradha, the good part of Discovery Gardens is that it has seen phenomenal development over the years.
The only area which could currently require an upgrade is the security in buildings. She suggests round-the-clock security by adopting an access card system.
“Other than that, Discovery Gardens is a perfect place to live,” Shradha concludes.
