The Ras Al Khaimah Maritime City (RAKMC) was created as a maritime free zone which enmeshes a variety of advantageous business opportunities alongside vastly superior international port facilities.
It is one of the most advanced maritime free zones in the UAE which offers superlative benefits to the different businesses in the maritime industry across the region.
The port, whose main customers include those in the petrochemicals, steel and fabrication industries, also takes care of general cargo.
With enhanced tax benefits for companies, RAKMC is sectored into particular areas, depending on specific use: tank storage and shipbuilding or repairs, warehousing, retail, industrial production and manufacturing, general cargo handling and retail. Each of these can include businesses created as FZC and FZE, with an option of work permits, UAE residence visas and trading licenses.
Spanning an area of eight million square meters of coastland, RAKMC offers plots for commercial, industrial and general trading. There are two different types of plots offered. These include linear quay length enabling quay accessibility and those that are situated further from the harbor area with no direct accessibility to the water.
It also has five kilometers of new quay wall, a designated harbor, exclusive private jetties and a deep harbor entrance.
Offering the usual free zone advantages, RAKMC also offers excellent accessibility to various markets, the possibility of land expansion for specific individual companies, thorough business support as well as low operating costs.
