The multi-awarded facility is located in Al Mina in Jumeirah 1 and goes by the description of “The World’s Shipyard.” Upon closer scrutiny, this label is not far off the mark.

Drydocks World is the largest shipyard in the Middle East, and one of the largest and the most sophisticated in the world. It offers a wide range of facilities for ultra large crude carriers (ULCC), very large crude carriers (VLCC), and medium and small-sized vessels. For more than three decades, DW has been servicing ships en route to and from the major shipping ports of the world, carrying cargo and essential supplies.

Due to its focus on continuous improvement and excellence, DW has been the recipient of multiple awards within its three decades of operations, the most recent of which is the Sword of Honour and the Five Star Rating 2014 from the British Safety Council. It also won the Best Oil and Gas Project award at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference for constructing a 10,000-ton subsea facility for the storage of oil, the largest in the world.
